Five years ago I wrote an article on the turning of the new decade, 2010.  Now we are halfway through that decade and, as true to my Libra nature, I continue to see the world striving for balance.

Yes, the good old cliche' of the good and the bad, the yin and the yang, the dark and the light, continually see-sawing on the cosmic scales of life and death. Now five years is not much on the blip of eternal time, Doesn't really even register. So how do we look at the accomplishments and failures of our actions through these years?  Yes it looks like we are going to hell in a handbasket and yet we are going to the stars and beyond- ah, the contradictions of life are so juicy!

I hope through the trials and transformations of these last years you have seen the beauty and abundance of the life you are leading. Given thanks for family and friends, here and across the veil.
Brought forth joy in your work and love in your heart for all life. We are steadily evolving into greater awareness of our potential and how we must exert all our strengths in the preservation and sustaining of our natural resources for all of Earth's creatures. Great strides have been made, and, again, still so far to go.  What will we create in the coming five years?  Which side of the scale are we leaning towards?   Will we be remembered for our wisdom or our follies?  It is up to each one of us to reach out and embrace our responsibility for the survival of future generations.

We have received such amazing gifts by being blessed to just be alive.  Enjoy the sun on your face and the wind at your back. The curve of the mountain and thunder of the sea echo through your bones as the realization of  the oneness of all life, earthly and cosmic, can raise our spirits to the highest degree of compassion and mercy.

The cold crisp days of the heart of winter bring forth that desire to be resolute in our intentions to move forward with the return of the light and reach those warm and fruitful days of spring ahead.
Blessed water falls, frozen or not, upon the land and as the snow white mantle lays gently across the landscape take the time to renew yourself in all the small ways. Balance your energies with a warm bath, massage, stretch, read poetry, write in your journal, snuggle, dream, Refresh and reclaim your essence as Mercury, the planet representing our thinking and communication skills, goes retrograde in the coming weeks. In other words, a good time to do all those "re" words, remember, resonate, redo, relax.

A healthy and abundant year ahead for your visions to be realized and your aspirations to manifest!

New Moon March 11th

This New Moon brings me new to the blog scene, with high hopes of expanding the light and love of the Universe to all.   It is a beautiful spring here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the glistening snow, like sparkling stars, covers the landscape. Each snowflake a mini universe in itself, just as we ourselves are the reflection of the greater universe.
Through the snow, the first robin has been seen, heralding the return of the light here in the high country. The depth of the blue in the sky reflected by the great waters of Lake Tahoe is breathtaking in its brilliance.  

Take a moment this day to marvel at the wonders of nature wherever you are and let yourself relax into that timelessness of childhood awe.  The scope of our lives is before us, the perceptions of our daily lives opens up into new possibilities when we take a deep breath and RELAX!

With swift Mercury, the planet of communication now in retrograde motion, we are allowed to let our mental energy deepen into our subconscious minds and make contact with that on the mental level which can now be released through love and forgiveness.  Our minds wish to seek out the truth with Mercury being placed in this decanate of 7 degrees Pisces.   We may find ourselves engaged in problems from our past that are wanting to be healed on the karmic level.

Now is the time to face your darker issues and consciously choose to bring the healing light to them.  Surround the dark within, in Light and Love, to bring balance to your life as we move towards the Spring Equinox on March 20th.  This one moment of balance between the light of day and the dark of night happens only twice a year, providing us with the blueprint to forge ahead in our own knowledge of light and dark, yin and yang, the balance we can manifest within, to calm our minds and refresh our soul and spirit. 

Remember, right before each New Moon is a great time to clear away old and stagnant energies, any negative emotions lingering on in your environment and any habits you wish to now let go of, making room for the fresh, invigorating and exciting energies you wish to invite into your home.  Smudging with a variety of aromatic herbs such as sage, rosemary, lavender, cedar or sweetgrass will clear and clean your space on the physical and astral levels. Infusing your highest spiritual intentions into the blessing of your home or office will bring new awareness and clarity to those who live there.  Good health and high energy are enhanced when you choose to consciously make way for the New Moon's vitality and power.

This New Moon, placed in the watery sign of Pisces, in the ninth house of Spirituality and Higher Mind will flood you with new understanding, mentally and emotionally, of your chosen path.
As the moon grows through the month, from new to full, chart your course carefully, navigate the deep waters of this time with your highest ideals as your guiding compass.  
The growing light of the moon, reflecting the light of our sun. reminds us that we too are illuminated, like the moon, by the Divine Essence of Spirit residing in each of us. 
As Above, So Below.
